Area and Perimeter

Hey Readers
Today we learnt about Area and perimeter. we used a website called toy theater to make a block drawing so we can learn about it easier. Area is how many blocks are inside the drawing that you did so in the picture you will see the grass at the bottom, and the area of the grass in inside it. the perimeter is the blocks outside on the drawing so the perimeter of the grass is 32 because if you imagine block are it all you got to do is count all of the blocks around the grass it should be 32. do you know the area of the tree trunk? I found drawing the picture was realy fun but trying to figure out the area and the perimeter was hard.If you have any questions just leave a comment. Here is the link to the site that I used to make this drawing.

  1. Hi Tyler, great job today at the Google Hangout. Area and perimeter are big ideas so well done for beginning to understand them. I worked out that the perimeter of the tree trunk is 10cm, am I correct?
